The first tip is arranging your seating chart strategically. You know all the guests you are inviting so don’t sit Uncle Bob from your mom’s side and Cousin Jimmy from your dad’s side next to each other because they have never met! Make sure seating allows for comfort-ability for your guests and also creates an environment for them to entertain each other. The second tip is make sure to put a time limit on toasts. Toasts are a very important part of the reception however if your Maid of Honor talks for 20 minutes, guests may start to check out. Additionally, bring in some type of entertainment. Whether it be salsa dancers, or magicians, or singers, adding some type of live performances keeps the audience excited and engaged. This could also including renting a fun photo booth for guests. The final tip is to try and think outside the wedding cake. Do some sort of exciting dessert like donuts or candy and give the guests a different and exciting new twist on the classic cake cutting!
