Firuzeh Claar

Born in Tehran, Iran and raised in Santa Monica, Firuzeh learned from her parents the significance of lifecycle events. While her focus was business in college, it was there that she discovered her true love, organizing and helping plan friends’ parties and special events. After moving to Orange County and starting to raise a family, she joined Temple Beth El in Aliso Viejo. Through her years at Temple Beth El she oversaw many events, sat on the Board of Directors, and just completed a 2-year term as President of the Board. She has been intimately involved with their Bar/Bat Mitzvah program, creating a new structure for it and working closely with families as they go through the process. She is extremely dedicated to this milestone in their lives, having celebrated her older son’s Bar Mitzvah 4 years ago, as well as her twins B’nai Mitzvah this year. She loves creating a meaningful day from start to finish for these families and helping to bring their visions to life in a beautiful way.

When she’s not coordinating Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Firuzeh loves spending time with her husband and 3 teenagers, especially when watching them play their sports.

Helen Cohen

I was born in Los Angeles and grew up in the San Fernando Valley. I currently live in beautiful South Orange County with my doting husband and my two awesome teens. I am an active member of the Jewish community and work part time for the Friendship Circle.

Before children I owned my own successful cooking party business serving children through LA and Orange County called MyFlourChild. Throughout my career I have been event program manager organizing such events as non profit galas and festivals. As a member of a large Jewish family I attend a Jewish Bar/Bat Mitzvah or wedding nearly every month and I love it!

During my free time I ski in the winter and camp in the summer months. My favorite pastime is tending to my herb garden with my family. I also in enjoy travel and I have lived in Israel and Hawaii.

A Bar and Bat Mitzvah is a monumental right of passage. As a parent of a teen and a tween I know that creating a balance between fun for teen friends and sophisticated for teen parents can be challenging; I want to help you navigate through that challenge. Also getting to be a part of such a spiritual and uplifting celebration seems like the best job one can have.

How much time cAN I expect to spend with my Principal Coordinator AND STYLIST
based on each package?

Our MONTH OF package is a fabulous little package. It’s small but mighty because it comes with all the benefits of a traditional ‘month of’ package -- but it also comes a few special extras! You’ll kick-off with a helpful Welcome Meeting with your Principal Coordinator, which can be scheduled just as soon as you sign on as a new client.  You'll receive vendor referrals and planning checklists, and have access to your Principal Coordinator for questions at your Welcome Meeting. Your Principal Coordinator will also spend 4 additional hours with you for any misc. planning tasks or meetings you'd like to use them toward.  Once you're 6 weeks prior to your big day, you'll meet your Principal Coordinator again for a tour of your venue and to create your Master Timeline together. Your Principal Coordinator will touch-base with your venue and vendors to make sure they received the Master Timeline and to go over all the important details which pertain to them. In total, you'll spend about 8 hours with your Principal Coordinator prior to your Bar or Bat Mitzvah, and then another 9 hours together on the day of your event. Your Principal Coordinator will also complete about 8-10 hours of behind-the-scenes work on your behalf.

Our MONTH OF WITH STYLE package includes all the hours and services above, plus about 6 more hours with your Stylist. So you'll spend a total of about 14 hours with your Principal Coordinator and Stylist. Additionally, they'll spend about 12-20 combined hours working behind-the-scenes on your behalf.

Our L'CHAIM package is basically a dream come true. Clients have all-access to their Principal Coordinator (during business hours of course) throughout your planning process. Would you like your Principal Coordinator to join you for a venue tour? Done! Would you like your Principal Coordinator to attend a planning meeting on your behalf? Just ask! Would you like to schedule a budget review meeting with your Principal Coordinator? No problem at all! Your Principal Coordinator will be available - by appointment - to be by your side at planning meetings and venue tours, to complete tasks for you, to attend meetings with you or on your behalf, and more. Your Principal Coordinator will also send over regular email and phone updates, keep you in-the-loop on venue and vendor correspondences, negotiate estimates to get you the best rates, keep your budget and planning calendar current, etc. And just like the package described above, the L'Chaim package also includes the  additional services from your Stylist.  With this beautiful package, you’re ensured a smooth and seamless process and your family will get to have a TON of fun in the process! In total, L'Chaim clients tend to spend about 30-50 hours with their Principal Coordinator, plus about 6 hours with their Stylist. And MANY hours will be spent behind-the-scenes on your behalf.
