Whitney Wing Drake

Born and raised in Southern California, Whitney likes to joke that she never had a choice but to be an event planner. Her parents had owned art galleries for 10 years before she was even born. She spent her childhood helping her mom plan & execute art release parties, artist signings, etc.

Whitney’s professional background is in corporate events, where she has been employed by Pacific Theatres, and most notably by Arclight Cinemas, where she was part of the startup team at the flagship location in Hollywood, CA. There she was involved in planning and executing movie premieres, private screenings, press events, etc. Whitney also worked closely with the head of Marketing at Paramount Pictures and won a National Prize for one of the promotional events she coordinated. After planning her own wedding in 2007, Whitney realized her passion for private events and thus made the transition from corporate. Upon completion of her degree at UCLA (in Philosophy, with an emphasis in Ethics) Whitney launched Wish Wonder Dream. Today, she is incredibly proud of the company it has become.

Studio Manager

Nickname(s):

Whit, Whoney, Wish Wonder Whitney

Wedding Coordinators wear so many different hats and I feel that makes this job inspiring and exciting. I LOVE a good plan (and I’m teased regularly for planning too far ahead), I am fairly organized, I adore working closely with couples (no fluffy small talk for me - I go deep), I also love getting to be creative, and I thoroughly enjoy leading a team and being proactive about setting and accomplishing goals.

Style Inspiration:

Audrey Hepburn is my only and only. She stole my heart in My Fair Lady when I was 10, with all her beautiful dresses and graceful elegance, and I looked up to her style (and her humanitarian efforts) on and off the screen ever since.

Laura Seguin

Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, and then in Memphis, Tennessee, Laura from a young age has known the true meaning of Southern hospitality.

In college, Laura’s focus was primarily in marketing and advertising, but she found her true calling in early 2011, when she began working in the vivacious and fast-paced world of events. Laura joined the team at the Viceroy Hotel Group where she was in banquet staffing, bartending, and sales. She then continued her catering career by joining the team at Truly Yours Catering. Her career next led her to become the Event Sales Manager at Maggiano’s Little Italy.

Over the years, forming meaningful and lasting relationships with clients came to the forefront of Laura’s life and career goals. And as such, Laura found herself especially drawn to the magic of wedding coordination. Laura joined the team at Wish Wonder Dream in early 2015, and every day she’s able to let her passion and creativity take flight, working with a team of fellow wedding organizers and a roster of clients she considers her friends.

Ashley Cone

I was born and raised in Arcadia, CA and I have had the privilege of having my grandparents live with us for as long as I can remember. I have a younger sister who I am extremely close to. I am currently working towards my Hospitality degree at Cal State University East Bay, through their online program, which gives me the flexibility to plan events and still study hard for school.

Throughout my childhood, I went to Disneyland frequently with my family. I still have an annual pass, and I have had one for almost 10 years now. Growing up, I had always loved weddings and could never pinpoint why that was. I catered weddings and large events for 3 years before realizing I wanted to play a larger part in the bridal and event planning business. I applied for a bridal store, as a bridal stylist. Styling also plays a big role in my personal life as I like to dress up for every occasion and frequently get asked for style tips from my friends and family members.

Born and raised in Orange County, Karen grew up as the youngest and the only girl to two amazingly supportive parents and two older brothers who devoted their time to music and tech. She graduated University of California, Irvine and earned her degrees in Communications and Business Management. During her college life, Karen worked full-time for an events company where her love for events and weddings flourished. With each successful event came validation that her passion is in planning and that’s what she is meant to do.

She is a firm believer in building relationships that last, so what better industry to be in than wedding planning? Karen sets out to build a strong foundation with everyone she has the privilege of working with to assure them that, so long as she is on this journey with them, their dreams are her dreams — and that those dreams will come true for their big day. When she isn’t wedding planning, Karen spends her time pampering her Pomeranian or seeking out new restaurants and food to try! She will try everything twice — once to see whether or not she likes it, twice to make sure.
